Person Centred Counselling

The ethos of this approach is that given the right conditions, people can become who they truly are, making the most of their talents and achieving their full potential.

Together we’ll explore your unique thoughts, feelings and experiences (both past and present) and the role they’ve played in shaping the person you are today as well as the impact that may be having on your mind and body.

Talking Therapy can unlock a deeper understanding and acceptance of yourself and what you truly want for your life can inspire a re-awakening of your own power to gain emotional and physical wellbeing.

Career Coaching

We spend an average of 90,000 hours at work during our lifetime. That’s a long time to be feeling unfulfilled.

An uneven work/life balance can seriously impact our emotional and physical wellbeing, so if you’re feeling trapped in a role that doesn’t fill you with joy or want to change paths but are unsure where to start, then help is right here.

The power to find your perfect career path is already within you, so I‘m here to offer a sounding board to discuss your motivations, aspirations and, most importantly, provide focus and clarity to help you achieve your goals.

Life Coaching

Let’s face It, life can be tough! While well-meaning friends and family may want to help, the advice is coming from their perspective, not yours. And when was the last time someone really, listened to you, without wanting to talk about themselves. Well, you’ve come to the right place to help you figure out what’s right for you.

From relationships and conflict to life transitions and big decisions, my aim is to give you back control and the power to move forward, with self-awareness, self-confidence, and the motivation to achieve your own personal goals.

My Approach

Hello, I’m Gail Worthy, and I’m a qualified Person Centred Therapist and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) who offering remote (phone and online) counselling and life management.

My work is guided by the BACP Ethical Framework, I also act as a counsellor/volunteer for a local Women’s Aid charity and Cruse Bereavement Support.

With 40 plus years spent years in the healthcare industry, including specialisms such as gynaecology, midwifery, orthopaedics, I moved into a coaching and learning development role which allowed me to use my experience and passion for helping people to reach their full potential .

Living CALM for me is an aspiration, a way of being. Personal therapy is a key part of training to be a counsellor, and I learnt so much about myself in those two years through a person-centered approach which significantly changed my outlook on life, how I overcome life’s challenges and how I now relate to those closest to me.

My goal is for Living CALM to be a safe space for you to talk openly and in confidence with someone who strives to understand what it’s like to be you and to help you to find your own solutions to the issues holding your emotional health back.
